How To Propagate A Plumeria Alba “Fetna” From Cuttings?

First, have a cutting that’s at least 35 cm in length.

Second, remove all leaves on the branch.

Third, set aside the branches in a shady area with good air circulation for a duration of 3-7 days or once the cut ends stop dripping the white milky sap and starts to heal.

Fourth, prepare a soil mix that is 1/3 potting soil and 2/3 perlite in an adequately sized pot.

Fifth, water the mix prior to planting the cut end and make sure the container has adequate drainage. The idea is to have good drainage to avoid rotting of the cut end.

Sixth, apply a rooting hormone on the cut end prior to planting. (Another rooting hormone brand)

Final note:

It would take about 60-90 days until you reap the results of your propagation. Once the plant is well established, feed it with a high phosphorus fertilizer (N-P-K 10-30-10) in order to produce a more vibrant flower.

Three Months Later Check:-

All of the trees have been successfully propagated. We are now at the beginning of a Kuwait’s summer where temperatures are reaching above 45 degrees Celsius, due to the heat I will not replant them into the ground until the beginning of September when the temperature reaches back to 35 degrees Celsius. In order for them to have time to establish there roots system for next years summers. So they will spend this summer under the shade.

1 year and 9 months later:-

After we planted the tree into the ground, the root system has been well established and there is a sign of a flower buds forming. Once the flowers blooms I will share it with you guys.
